Membership
Aboriginal Community Housing Limited (ACHL) is a non-for-profit Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Housing company operating nationally.
The members of ACHL are any person that met the membership requirements and support ACHLs purpose and vision. ACHL maintain a register of members.
Who can be a member?
A person who is a charity or not for profit organisation registered with the Australian Charities and Not for Profit Commission that:
- supports the purposes of ACHL; and
- holds residential premises which are the subject of a lease or property management agreement with the company; and
- pays the annual membership fee as determined from time to time by the board of directors; and
- signs and abides by the terms of the membership agreement as determined from time to time by the board of directors
- is eligible to apply under clause 12 to be a member of the company.
How to apply to be a member.
A person may apply to become a member of ACHL by completing membership form and writing to the secretary stating that they:
- want to be a member
- support the purpose(s) of ACHL
- agree to comply with ACHL’s constitution and membership agreement, including paying the guarantee under clause 4 if required, and
- providing the annual membership fee.
